First boot after mainboard replacement

 We couldn't detect an operating system or bootable drive.

BIOS showed the NVMe SSD.

Pressing F3 during boot opened the "Insyde File Explorer", which let me select the debian shim.efi file that booted grub.


Boot from live-usb
==================

After booting from live USB once and updating the laptop's firmware, it would not boot from usb anymore.
I had to unplug the USB-A expansion card and replug it - then it could boot from there again.


Re-installing grub
==================

Boot from the kernel with F3 by manually selecting the shim.efi, then run "update-grub2" to install the bootloader into the UEFI mainboard settings.


linux kernel boot issue
=======================

 Falsche Shim-Signatur
 (bad shim signature)

- 6.16 did not boot, brought shim error
- 6.12.xx did boot

Reason: I had manually installed 6.16 to get Debian running on the laptop, see https://community.frame.work/t/tracking-debian-testing-on-the-framework-laptop/14448/34
This kernel had no signature.

This time I wanted to keep secure boot enabled.
6.16 is old, to instead of signing it with my own secure boot key (see https://wiki.debian.org/SecureBoot) I decided to install a newer official kernel.
