<p>When opening <tt class="docutils literal"><span class="pre">helm-find-files</span></tt> via <tt class="docutils literal"><span class="pre">C-x</span> <span class="pre">C-f</span></tt>, I can type to narrow the list of files to the desired one.</p>
<p>When I want to create a new file, and that file name matches an existing one, I am stuck:</p>

New file or directory

<p>Solution: Press <tt class="docutils literal"><span class="pre">C-v</span></tt> to go down to the "New file or directory" part of the window. <tt class="docutils literal"><span class="pre">M-v</span></tt> to go back.</p>
